Ganga, 30 years old lives with her two children 8 years Anusa and newborn, son Surya. Her husband left her when she was expecting a second child. She does everything herself. Her only income is the production of mats and coasters from wool balls for one merchant. She heard from the neighbors about the Rokpa Soup Kitchen project, free food, where she goes every day for breakfast and lunch. When I visited them during the interview and the photo shoot I found out that there were no basic food or cosmetic products at home. We visited the Super Market together, where she stocked up on basic supplies. But that doesn't solve her situation for long. She needs money for her monthly rent, for the debts she has, and for her daughter's school fees so that she can study again. Ganga wants to sell Pani Puri, fried balls from her house again and improve the living situation for her children and herself. Recently she has already registered her daughter in the Rokpa Children's House and she believes that she will be chosen. This would at least solve her situation with her daughter.
